Why we ask this
A sole proprietorship isn't a separately registered entity — in law, you are the business. You'll pick a trade name (what customers see, like "Skystack Studio") separate from your legal name (the name on your PAN). Setting up means securing the operating registrations: Shop & Establishment (state law), Udyam (MSME — unlocks 45-day payment protection from corporate buyers), and GST (only if you cross the turnover threshold, sell across states, sell on e-commerce platforms, or want voluntary GST for B2B clients).
