Why we ask this
Adding to or substantially altering the Main Object clause of the MoA is a Section 13 change under the Companies Act — it needs a special resolution (75% majority of shareholders present and voting), the amended MoA, and Form MGT-14 filed with MCA within 30 days of the resolution. If the alteration materially redefines what the company does, a fresh Certificate of Incorporation pursuant to alteration is issued. The CIN, current objects, and the new line of business are what drive the drafting.
